General information

The X-Finder is a metal detector designed to detect various metal objects such as coins, jewelry, artifacts, excavation objects, tools and other metal objects that may be lost below the ground. To do this, it uses a sensor that transmits information to the main control unit. This metal detector also uses wireless communication between the components to perform the search.

Nomenclature and technical characteristics

  1. Operating frequency: 17.5 kHz. This frequency is ideal for finding large and small coins, artifacts, and treasures. (This value indicates which frequency the metal detector uses to find metal objects.)
  2. Search Depth: Up to 50 cm for coins and 150 cm for large targets. (This value indicates the depth to which the metal detector can find a metal object.)
  3. Operating modes: Metal detectors can have different operating modes, such as “discriminate” (you can cut out any frequency range from the search), “all metals”. Each operating mode is configured to search for a specific type of metal object.
  4. The size of the search sensor: 280 X 280 mm.
  5. The size of the control unit is 28x53x94mm
  6. Weight of the sensor 470 grams
  7. Weight of the control unit 140 grams
  8. Total weight including barbell: 1140 grams
  9. Power supply: li-pol rechargeable batteries
    capacity: sensor – 1000mAh, control unit 3000mAh
  10. Display: 37 X 23 mm.
  11. Wireless communication between the control unit and the detector
  12. Firmware update via WiFi
  13. VDI range -88 to 88
  14. Working time without recharging min. 8 hours
  15. Sound adjustment from 0 to 100 units
  16. 3 types of sound scheme (4 tones, Standard, Polyphony)
  17. Adjust the brightness of the main screen
  18. Adjustment of the data transmission rate from the detector to the Control Unit
  19. Noise reduction 0-30 points
  20. Gain 0-15 points
  21. Displaying the charge of the sensor and control unit
  22. Alert when there is no connection with the detector
  23. Vibration response (optional)
  24. LED flashlight on the back of the control panel
  25. The ground balance is adjusted in the menu in two ways, automatically and manual correction
  26. Charging time – up to 3 hours

The structure of the X-finder metal detector

                 Fig.1

Figure 1 shows the general view of the metal detector.
The metal detector includes a bar 1, which is made with the ability to quickly change its length during operation to adapt to the user’s height. The height is adjusted by means of a locking nut 2. At the end 3 of the rod 1, with the help of the fastening mechanism 4, a sensor 5 is installed, with the possibility of rotation in space and quick removal, in the form of a frame with jumpers equipped with a connection point 6 with the rod fastening mechanism. At the end 7 of the bar 1 there is a handle 8 with an armrest 9 for ease of use. In addition, a device 10 for fixing the control unit 11 is fixed on the bar 1. The fixation of the control unit 11 to the bar 1 can be of any form and should be convenient for a particular user. The control unit 11 may not be fixed to the bar 1 of the metal detector, i.e. the user decides where to place it during the search.
The sensor 5 is connected to the control unit 11 by wireless communication, for example, via Bluetooth. The control unit 11 has corresponding programs and applications that allow the user to freely read the signals transmitted by the sensor 5 and react accordingly. With the help of the respective applications, the control unit 11 manages the search process and provides comprehensive information about the search results.
